Dahkil Hausif

Dahkil Hausif lives to empower himself and others through the passion of storytelling. Growing up traveling the world as a NYC-born military brat, Dahkil later embraced his griot birthright as a mentee of Micere Githae Mugo, a Meredith Professor of Teaching Excellence in the African-American Studies Department at Syracuse University, learning to understand the power of African Orature. He has since gone on to have a successful and interesting career over the past 20 years as a commercial film editor (Beats, Verizon, Bvlgari, GMC), voice over artist (ESPN 30 for 30 “What If I Told You…”), and a writer & director (Shades of Brooklyn on HBO).

Always evolving in his craft and an avid lover of adding more dimension to talents, Dahkil also does storytelling consultation to a variety of people and organizations, as storytelling is the through line of our lives and work.
