Max Kuo
Max Kuo is a founding partner of the studio ALLTHATISSOLID with offices in Boston, Los Angeles, and Kuala Lumpur. Residing in the Boston area, Max has been a Design Critic in the Department of Architecture at Harvard Graduate School of Design since 2013 and has also taught studios at MIT School of Architecture + Planning. His recent writings and design work explore modernity in the context of digital networks and their creative and paradoxical impact on architecture and the built environment. Max’s writings have been published in journals such as Pidgin (Princeton), Thresholds (MIT), Mas Context, and Pool (UCLA). His work has been exhibited in numerous venues in Los Angeles, New York, Beijing, and Seoul. In 2016, Max was the Heinz Fellow in Architecture at MacDowell and a National Endowment for the Arts Fellow. In 2003, he was an artist-in-residence at the Whitney Museum, Independent Studies Program.
