Diane Jean-Mary
As Partner and Chief Strategy Officer at cultural consultancy LaPlaca Cohen, Diane advises creative organizations on purpose, vision, institutional transformation, and social entrepreneurship. Prior to joining LaPlaca Cohen, she led video streaming analytics within the Global Digital Business team at Sony Music Entertainment, and guided corporate innovation as a management consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton.
Her personal work as a filmmaker is an ongoing exploration of one essential question: how can people of color thrive in a society designed to hold us back? Her projects unpack themes of mental health, community belonging, and intergenerational healing.
Diane pursued an interdisciplinary education, operating at the intersection of business, cinema, and socioeconomic justice. She earned a B.A. in Hispanic Studies-Economics from Columbia University, with a concentration in Film Studies. She also holds professional certifications in International Business from Georgetown University and Narrative Filmmaking from the FAMU Film School of Prague.
