Sruti Suryanarayanan
Sruti Suryanarayanan is a researcher-writer-artist studying systems of racial, economic, and migration inequity through lenses of violence and resilience, and uses this focus to design, implement, and facilitate creative learning and advocacy to encourage transformative healing and justice in intergenerational communities, particularly with people of color, away from state, interpersonal, and historically traumatic violence and towards self-determination. Sruti seeks to study these ecosystems’ economies, by developing tools to encourage collective questioning while centering critical and compassionate care.
They are currently co-organizing with other arts and culture workers committed to the solidarity economy and transformative justice at Art.coop, Interference Archive, and AAPI Women Lead, and have previously worked with South Asian Americans Leading Together (SAALT), and Dia Art Foundation.
