Risë Wilson

Risë Wilson is a pioneer in the realm of socially-engaged art, an apprentice of plant medicine from the African diaspora, and a serial entrepreneur. She is the founder of The Laundromat Project, which connects artists and communities of color to their own capacity to envision the world in which we all want to live, and the skills sets to make it so. Her 24-year tenure in arts and culture has spanned philanthropic practice, strategic planning, artist development, and public engagement. She currently provides coaching and consulting to foundations and non-profits in these areas, while planning the launch of a new cultural space in Philadelphia that combines art, activism, and healing practices.
