Nouf Aljowaysir
Nouf Aljowaysir is a Brooklyn-based New Media Artist and Creative Coder. Currently, she is an Artist-in-residence at ThoughtWorks Arts.
Aljowaysir blends art and computation to explore how emerging technologies will shape our future—from branded environments to non-traditional interfaces. Her recent explorations investigate Artificial Intelligence to create generative designs and speculative futures while questioning its underlying structure from an ethical perspective.
As the former lead researcher in Art & AI at Havas, Aljowaysir algorithmically produced hundreds of images and videos for client ADP - making them the first major organization to incorporate a semi-generative visual system.
Aljowaysir has exhibited her projects in galleries and festivals in the US and Europe, including the International Documentary Festival Amsterdam (IDFA), and SXSW 2019. Most notably - Alexa, Call Mom! premiered at Tribeca Film Festival and CannesXR Virtual this past June in the Museum of Other Realities.
